Our love of stonework derives from its unique ability to integrate the uncut beauty of nature with the constructed beauty of artifice in a way that no other craft does. Dry stonework is an ancient method of construction, used all over the world. It utilizes no mortar, and thus allows for water penetration and subtle movements in the wall or surface that normally would present cracks and structural compromises to mortared work while maintaining structural integrity in dry-laid applications. In addition to strength, and the specific aesthetic that dry-laid work offers--it continues to get more beautiful with time as the stone weathers and lichens and mosses begin to grow.  

 

In addition to our skilled artisan services, we offer more functional landscaping and drainage solutions that may or may not involve finished stoneworks features, including:  construction, grading and maintenance of gravel and paver driveways; light grading; French Drain construction, small culvert (24" and less") installation and other drainage management solutions, land terracing.
